One of the most exciting initiatives driving this momentum is the TED Youth Startup – IGNITE Forum 2026, organized by the Technology and Innovation-Based Enterprise Development Fund (TED Fund). The event marks the beginning of the TED Fund Road Show in Southern Thailand, hosted at Walailak University in Nakhon Si Thammarat. The program aims to identify and support promising innovation-driven startups that can contribute to Thailand’s transition toward an innovation-driven economy.

During the forum, our CEO & Founder, Mr. Tanawachara Noosang, was invited to take the stage to share his entrepreneurial journey, experiences, and insights with young innovators and startup founders.

In his talk, he discussed the challenges and opportunities of building a startup in today’s competitive landscape, emphasizing the importance of innovation, resilience, and long-term vision. His session aimed to inspire students, researchers, and aspiring entrepreneurs who are preparing to launch their own businesses.

By sharing real-world experiences from building a consumer brand in the health and food innovation industry, Mr. Tanawachara highlighted how startups can transform ideas into scalable businesses that create real economic value.

TED Fund: Supporting Thailand’s Innovation Economy

The Technology and Innovation-Based Enterprise Development Fund (TED Fund), under Thailand’s Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, plays a critical role in supporting early-stage technology entrepreneurs.

In 2025, the fund approved 282 innovation projects with a total budget of 273 million baht. For 2026, TED Fund plans to increase support to 300 projects with a budget of 300 million baht, providing grants ranging from 150,000 to 2,000,000 baht to help startups move from concept validation to business expansion.

The goal is not only to provide funding but also to build a strong startup ecosystem through a nationwide network of TED Fellows across 77 organizations.

Building a Strong Startup Pipeline for Thailand

Programs like the TED Youth Startup – IGNITE Forum are designed to create a sustainable pipeline of entrepreneurs entering the Thai innovation economy.

By connecting students, researchers, and young founders, the initiative helps bridge the gap between research and commercialization — a key challenge within Thailand’s innovation landscape.
